With the end of the pandemic, many people are eager to plan their overseas trips. However, did you know that skincare while traveling abroad requires special attention? In this article, we will share some skincare tips to help you maintain hydrated and flawless skin during your travels.

First and foremost, whether you are heading to cold Canada or a sunny island, skincare during the flight is very important. The humidity in the cabin is extremely low, at around 20%, which poses a challenge for the skin. To test my skin’s moisture levels, I conducted a small experiment and found that even in dry environments, if the skin has sufficient oil, the moisture content does not significantly decrease. Therefore, it is wise to implement extra moisturizing measures during the flight.

During the flight, it is recommended to apply a sheet mask to give your skin some extra hydration. The use of the mask can be controlled for about ten to fifteen minutes, followed by applying a layer of moisturizer to effectively lock in moisture. However, special care should be taken not to let the mask dry out, as this will accelerate skin dryness.

In addition to facial care, protecting your hands and feet is equally important. After long flights and activities in other countries, my feet often suffer from dryness and cracking. Therefore, it is essential to carry a nourishing ointment when traveling. Moreover, washing your face at the airport can be inconvenient, so it is advisable for female travelers to avoid makeup before boarding, allowing for skin to be refreshed at all times.

After arriving at your destination, it is also a crucial moment for skincare. Many people think they can use sample-sized products to try out new skincare products, but for those with sensitive skin or specific issues, this may not be advisable. It’s best to bring your usual skincare products, especially acne treatments and moisturizers, to ensure proper care continues in a foreign place. Whether it’s cleansing, moisturizing, or sun protection, using familiar products can minimize the risk of skin problems.

Speaking of sun protection, whether skiing or going to the beach, sunscreen should not be overlooked. Even in cold environments, UV rays are still present, especially when sunlight reflects off the snow. Before traveling, ensure that sunscreen is applied adequately for comprehensive protection.

When you head out, remember to pack all the necessary skincare products to ensure your skin remains in its best condition during your travels.
